Hey, nice to meet you!
My full name is Addison Arave but you can call me Addi. I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska before nailing down a bachelor's degree (plus an actual bachelor 💍) in eastern Idaho. We returned to Alaska for three years, had two children, and then found ourselves on a one-way flight back to Idaho for a job at Idaho National Laboratory. I've been an Idahoan, science communicator, and nuclear energy advocate ever since! ⚛️
Outside of work and my other full-time gig as a wife and mother, I love to hike, camp, and sing...mostly to myself in the shower but I've been known to kara an oke now and then. I love a good horror movie, throwing excessively-themed parties, and baking the DoubleTree by Hilton's chocolate chip cookies that my husband and I have adopted as our family recipe. 🍪
I share these things with you not because they are particularly relevant, but because I believe in showing up as your full, authentic self in every setting. Good communication is based on relationships and the desire to understand other perspectives, and that's the attitude I bring to the workplace.
As such, I pride myself on my conflict management skills, big-picture perspective, and ownership of my successes and mistakes so those working with me know I'm someone they can trust.
If you're looking for a dedicated and trustworthy brand advocate, look no further! ✨
